Leadership Geauga is proud to announce that Connie Grigg, the organization’s first Executive Director, will be honored with the Founder’s Award this
evening. Connie played a pivotal role in the organization’s founding, serving on the original steering committee in 1994, where meetings were held at Kent State University Geauga Campus. As the need for a director became clear, she stepped up and volunteered for the role, shaping the program in its early years. During her tenure, Connie cherished witnessing class members’ transformative “a-ha” moments, participating in a poverty simulation, and exploring Amish education and healthcare. Now residing in Florida, she has carried her passion for leadership development forward by founding her own organization. Reflecting on Leadership Geauga’s impact, Connie emphasized the importance of informed leaders who engage in problem-solving conversations to drive community success. Her legacy continues to inspire future leaders dedicated to making a difference.
