Leadership Geauga proudly announces Meredith Ashkettle, Executive Director, as the newest recipient of the Certified Community Leadership Practitioner (CCLP) designation of the Association of Leadership Programs (ALP).
The CCLP program was established by ALP in 2019 and provides comprehensive training for professionals leading Community Leadership Programs (CLPs). With over 1,000 CLPs across the U.S., Canada, and beyond, these programs play a crucial role in fostering engaged citizens and driving community growth. The CCLP certification enhances professional expertise, ensuring program leaders can effectively cultivate collaboration, innovation, and impactful solutions. By strengthening leadership development, this program helps CLPs remain vital forces in building vibrant, sustainable communities.
Since the program’s launch, 79 Community Leadership Program professionals nationwide have completed the required 16 hours of CORE training and additional coursework totaling 50 hours before applying for certification. Nineteen individuals, including Ashkettle, have successfully completed the process and passed the certification exam.
Meredith Ashkettle has been the Executive Director of Leadership Geauga since June 2021. Before joining Leadership Geauga, she spent 11 years with Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity as the ReStore Director, where she managed operations for two ReStore locations and developed expertise in business start-up, volunteer engagement, operations management, and fundraising.
A proud member of the Leadership Geauga Class of 2016, Meredith found the program a transformative experience in her life. She is passionate about growing the organization to foster a stronger, more connected community.
Leadership Geauga celebrates Ashkettle’s accomplishment and continued commitment to strengthening leadership within the community.
